Today, I’m rounding up my favorite recent purchases.
HOME
Cordless Stick Vacuum // How did I live without a cordless vacuum? I’d love a Dyson stick vacuum but it’s not really practical for our current living situation. My sister, Caitlin, recommended this cordless stick vacuum and it works wonders! I love that it has an LED light feature so I can see every speck of dust and dog hair. The description says up to 30 minutes of run-time which I have found inaccurate. I can run through my entire apartment (approximately 600 square feet) and give our furniture the once over and have some charge left. If your home is bigger, you might have to stop and charge. Depending on how many days I’ve gone without vacuuming, I may have to empty the filter more than once per clean but that’s super easy to do. This is by far, my favorite of my recent purchases!
FASHION & BEAUTY
Polarized Sunglasses // I like to have a few pairs of sunglasses at my disposal – a pair for my purse, a pair for my car, and a pair for my suitcase – so that I’m never without. I learned a long time ago that sunglasses are really important for eye safety. And I love that these are polarized to reduce glare from water, snow, and the road. They’re plastic so if you’re looking for something high-end, look elsewhere. But for under $13, these can’t be beat!
Wunder Train Tights // Lululemon Wunder Train tights are my favorite tights of all time! While the aligns seem to be a favorite amongst most for some reason I can’t understand, wunder trains are great for literally everything. Running, weight training, yoga, running errands – you name it! They don’t pill like a lot of other butter-soft leggings and they definitely pass the squat test! Bonus: they come in so many fun colors!
Norvell Sunless Tanning Solution // I fully admit that I was influenced by TikTok! The girl’s tan looked TANtastic (ha) and I needed to try before my Florida trip! It’s like a spray-tan-at-home. Maybe not as good but definitely good enough and more affordable. Along with the tanning solution, I also bought a continuous spray bottle for all-over and even coverage and a tanning mitt applicator.
How I tanned: after I showered, shaved, exfoliated, and dried, I got back into my shower and poured about 2 ounces of the solution into the spray bottle (it was about 1/6th full). I then sprayed one body part at a time, starting with my legs, so that the solution wouldn’t dry before I could rub it in, you know? With my mitt, I rubbed the solution all over whatever body area I sprayed. Then, I got into some loose, dark clothing and let the tan develop for 6 or 7 hours. The bottle suggests a 24-hour period but I didn’t have that kind of time. That evening, I rinsed the product off and was amazed with the results! I have white sheets and didn’t notice any “orange” on them when I woke up the next morning!
Travel Jewelry Organizer // I’ve been getting into the jewelry game and needed a way to keep everything “nice”. This plush velvet jewelry organizer is the perfect size for travel or to keep in your bedside drawer. I love the periwinkle blue but it comes in so many other great colors.
